  • Master of Science in Architecture

    The Master of Science in Architecture (M.S. Arch.) at NJIT’s Hillier College is a post-professional STEM-designated program that consists of 30 credits of required and elective courses. The program is designed for graduates from architecture schools or architects who wish to specialize in areas such as sustainability, urbanism or computation.

    In our 30-credit, STEM-designated, studio-based Master of Urban Design program, participants develop the technical skills, intellectual rigor and professional expertise to tackle the challenges of urbanization. Students are trained to look critically at the built environment and encouraged to use their design expertise to make a difference in the world.

  • Master of Architecture 

    The Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) at NJIT’s Hillier College is a professional STEM-designated program, fully accreditedaccredited by the National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB)National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB). The 90-credit program is intended for applicants who have earned a bachelor’s degree in a field other than architecture and who wish to earn a degree leading toward professional licensure as an architect.

  • Ph.D. in Urban Systems

    The Ph.D. in Urban Systems allows students to develop essential expertise in urban systems, including buildings, infrastructure, transportation and socioeconomics. The program prepares students for careers in academia, industry or government, focusing on urban technology and global urban studies. Through original research, students progress as apprentice scholars and graduate as colleagues of their mentors, ready to provide visionary leadership in urban systems.
